Jennifer Coolidge shares a health scare from her time on set The White Lotus.

In an interview with Allurevia Entertainment Weeklythe Emmy-winning actress revealed she had to go to the emergency room after suffering an allergic reaction from a spray tan she got for her role on the HBO series.

“For The White Lotus, I didn’t want to look like a big, white marshmallow on the beach in Hawaii, so I got a spray tan,” she told the outlet. “I got on the plane and I started to feel very strange. By the time I got off the flight, I had to go to the emergency room.”

Coolidge, 61, recalled that the incident affected her beauty routine during production, saying, “I think we ended up using normal makeup.”

“The moment we stopped filming, I took a shower. I have such a quick reaction to things,” she continued.

Coolidge also explained how she only recently discovered the type of allergy that caused the severe reaction.

“I’ve never been one to care much about ingredients,” he said. “Then, I’d say the last five or six years, I started getting allergies. My eyes are always watering, but it never crossed my mind that it was my makeup.”

Last month, during an interview with VarietyThe Legally blonde The actress discussed playing Tanya McQuoid in the HBO series – a role that earned the actress her first Emmy Award last week.

Praising series creator Mike White, Coolidge said, “Some jobs, I’ll be kind of, ‘Wow, this isn’t worth working for.’ What Mike [White] he wrote, I stayed up every night.”

“I’ve done one thing very right in my life,” he explained at the time. “I have chosen great friends. Because it was a killer job that no one else thought I could do.”
